Meet The Staff

Nick Ferriell

President, CEO

I was exposed to the alcoholism at a young age. My father was an alcoholic, and he got sober when I was eight.  All the knowledge that was passed on to me, however, was no match for my disease.  I soon found my life spiraling into nothing.  At  age 24, I found the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous, and my new life began. Through meetings, fellowship, and step work, my world was transformed into something I was finally proud of.  I owe everything I have today to my Higher Power, and the program of  A.A. It is our goal here at Cameron Villas to carry this message to young men who are early in recovery.

Fred Ferriell

Co-Founder, CFO

I grew up in, Louisville, Kentucky, and after high school, attended the University of Louisville.  I entered the family construction business. I eventually left to become an estimator with a national industrial contractor and ended my employment five years later as Assistant to the President. I formed my own company, primarily completing Government construction in a ten state area. In 1989, I became a member of a 12 Step group and later became a member of the Board at the Ethel Daniels Treatment Center in Dallas, Texas, where I served in several capacities including finance.

The past twenty four years I have worked with addicts and alcoholics and am grateful to have the opportunity to continue this endeavor with Cameron Villas.

Nelson Colon

Co-Owner, Director of Housing

I was born and raised in the small town of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, one of eleven siblings. I was in active addiction to drugs and alcohol for thirty five years, not recognizing the reality of my disease until I reached the age of fifty in 2010. I became a resident of Cameron Villas in February 2012 at the age of fifty two, and a member of the staff in November of 2012, only by the grace of God, the 12 Steps, and the fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous.  Now, my responsibility is to  be there whenever anyone, anywhere reaches out for help in the hopes that I may change the life of a young man before he struggles through life as long as I did.

Co-Owner, Community Manager

At  fourteen years old, I lost both my parents, and eventually landed into the grips of active addiction. I found myself homeless, weighing in at 129 pounds, and an intravenous drug user. After finding my way of life to be hopeless, I checked myself into a rehab, where I learned about the Twelve Step program. Upon leaving treatment, I took residence at Cameron Villas, where I continued my recovery. While there, I found strength through the community both Cameron and the twelve step program provided me. Since September 13, 2011, I have continued my personal growth through helping others as I had been helped, and am dedicated to aiding others in their own journey through sobriety at Cameron Villas. From personal experience, I know what sobriety has done and continues to do for me, and want to help others in their pursuit of a happy, productive, and sober lifestyle.

Atticus Lalor

Co-Owner, Community Manager

I have been clean from drugs and alcohol since October 2004. Through divine intervention, I have been given another chance at life. I cannot count how many institutions I have been in over the last 20 years. I have seen first hand, the horrors of drug addiction. Through God , The 12 steps, and helping others, I have maintained my sobriety. Today, it is the most important thing in life. Without my recovery there is no family, love, balance, and absolutely no will to live. I believe it is not only an honor, but my duty to reach out to those who want and need help. I believe in the concept here at Cameron Villas and I am grateful that I am a part of it.
